The Town is required to provide a tax receipt at the residents request, upon processing tax payment.
If the homeowner is in escrow, a receipt will be sent to the homeowner once escrow has been paid for tax purposes. - Do I have to pay a penalty if tax bill was not received?
Taxes are mailed by December 31 - if you do not receive a bill, it is still the homeowners responsibility to inquire and pay by January 31 with no penalties. Neither the Tax Collector or any other official has the legal authority to waive statutory penalties. - What if I'm i nescrow but still receive a 2nd notice tax bill?
Call your Tax Collector at 315-821-2489. Receiving that 2nd notice indicates that the bill remains unpaid.
